Wonderful device with plug-and-play set-up running Leopard on my MacBook Pro. Exactly as advertised, the Rugged 500GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY does indeed play well with Time Machine.

Couldn't be happier with the FW 800 KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY transfer rate -- extra zippy and just what you'd hope. Build quality is great for a portable.

I ordered LaCie's extra set of colored bumpers as I don't much care for the included orange. CaseLogic's PHDC-1 Small EVA External Hard Drive Case is a *perfect* fit for the Rugged 500GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY -- sturdy and snug with no unwonted wiggle-room. Extra happy with everything, so five stars on all of the above.

After a couple of days with this drive, I kind of want to buy it flowers and take it to dinner, maybe introduce it to my parents, pick out china... Partitioned to use on both Macs and PCs, the drive's storage capacity is 268GB. Transferring about 50GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY
of data took 30 minutes KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY and some change. Other drives have taken me upwards of 2 hours in the past with the same amount of data. I use it for data backup, but also to play my music library.

Usually when I've tried to access music externally, it loads a bit slowly and there is some lag (especially when it's a large library). It actually runs better off this drive than it did off my computer's hard drive... granted, that was because my KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY PC's 75GB drive had 50+GB of music on it (like your uncle after Thanksgiving: full and slow).

This is even with the USB cable KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY, which, from what I've read, isn't as fast as Firewire (yes? no?). It's super speedy, it's reliable (so far), it's small and light-weight. My one beef is: with interchangeable band colors available, did they HAVE to include the ugliest color with the product?

I think they think that I'll care enough to buy the other colors, but I only care KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY just enough to whine about it.

I'm using this with my macbook pro. I looked around a lot because the macbook only has 2 USB ports, so I wanted something I could plug in somewhere else. The Firewire 800 is fast, and it powers the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY, so no carrying around another power pack.

The drive comes with all the cables you will need firewire 800, 400, USB, KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY and a optional power cord if you have an older laptop that might not be pushing enough amps through the USB (ie. you may have to plug 1 USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY in for the data, and 1 for the power).

It was plug and play for me. No installing of drivers KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY or any other monkey biz. Just started backing up data.

As described at the top of this page, this is a "bulk package" card, KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY meaning it doesn't come in a pretty package.

All you get is the carrying case with the Micro SD card andSD KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY adapter inside.

Who need the packaging anyway? You're just going to throw it away as soon as you get your card out ;) Rest assured, it is in fact a brand new, official card KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY (well... at least the one I got from the seller "a-depot" was).

FWIW, I chose the seller "a-depot" because, if you include shipping costs, they were the cheapest seller period. 2gb transflash for $30.39 shipped. Just wow. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

Use: I plugged in into my card reader and it mounted instantly. Actual usable space on the card showed up as 1.89 GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . I did a couple tests with a 30MB file and found that the transfer rates over USB2 (on my system at least) are consistently 1mb/s for both read AND write.

After copying over a few MP3's, I moved the card into my Verizon Motorola Krzr. Everything showed up right away.

Not much more to say. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

At first the converter did not get many stations and I saw some frozen images - but I noticed the message that the signal was weak. I called Access HD to complain. It turns out the FCC's own data shows at least 30% of TV owners will need a new antenna to get a good picture. Access HD identified the correct antenna using a zip code look-up plus a verification using Google Earth (look at surrounding trees and buildings) KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY .
It was awesome. Got the new antenna and I get more stations than I have ever received before - with DVD KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY quality picture. I am sure most of the complaints you hear about converters of all brands are not converter problems at all, but antenna problems! The before and after performance with a good antenna is amazing.

This hard drive is awesome! I fought with my 300GB hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY for almost 2 years and ended up having to reformat several times. I did research and decided on the WD Caviar KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . I plan on ordering another one of these after Christmas when I have more funds. It was a cinch to install and it's quiet and fast. I love it!

It seems like after a couple of years no matter what you had before you always outgrow your hard driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY .

I had put together a computer for home use a few years ago (P4) with a sata 1 motherboard. I was too cheap at the time to do Sata and did a 120gbKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY eied drive instead. It worked OK but was getting full of pictures and I was experimenting with video, and my son started putting on 5 and 10 gb games. I replaced the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY with this new Sata2 drive with only a couple of glitches. It turns out you need to uninstall office 2007, use the included copy software to coppy the driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY , and then reinstall office 2007.

The copy protect makes office not work quite right and I could not uninstall it and reinstall it after it was copied onto the new driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . Fortunately all the files for outlook worked once I reinstall Office. And my Office 2007 boots up at least 2x faster. The other glitch was I neededKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY to use the jumper they supplied to make it SATA1 for my KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY motherboard. They tell you what you need to do and then tell you wont have to because it is automatic (not). All in all it gives me pleanty of space and my system boots and runs a lot faster.

I have had three of these drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY fail in the past six months.

The hardwareKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY installed easily in about 5 minutes.

It took another 15-20 minutes for me to figure out how to configure the driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY under Windows Vista... all of which was OK once I found the right screen and learned the lay of the land under Vista. Getting to the right places to have Vista recognize the hard drive, format it, and assign it the drive letter I wanted was the greater challenge, but everything worked without a hitch. It is GREATKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY to have a HUGE amount of storage space available on a second hard driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . I am using it to store all my photos, plus backups of data on my primary hard driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . Good product at a good price.

The main harddrive in my computer (about 3ish years old. A western digital 250gb SATA KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY) , I decided to buy the WD5000KSRTL.

After installation (which was harrowing. Bios saw the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY just fine, but Windows didn't want to start up. Zero fault of the drive, just a Windows XP quirk according to forums I read) I formatted the drive (took maybe half an hour) and then I was up and running. I play alot of games, most of which have been bought from the Steam store.

The old driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY , having been heavily fragmented, was slowing the load times of my games by a pretty high degree. After installing the new drive, I migrated all of my Steam games over to it (a process that was lightning fast, considering it was 10gb or so worth of games. Everything from Counterstrike to Half-Life 2 and Heroes of Might and Magic) and I've come to the conclusion that this is KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY easily the fastest, and the most silent drive I've ever owned. Honestly if I couldn't see the files transferring to the new drive (on the screen) I wouldn't have believed that it was actually in operation.

This drive would be perfect forKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY a media center computer (though I'm not using it for that purpose). There is only one oddity, which might not be an oddity at all. When I looked at the model number on the drive, it was WD5000AAKS. If you take away the "RTL" from the WD5000KSRTL (RTL meaning retail) you are left with KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY WD5000KS, not WD5000AAKS. Reading a few forums, I think this might be an upgraded version of the KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY WD5000KS, though I cannot independently confirm this. Looking at WD's website, the WD5000AAKS seems to be the current model number for this generations 500gb Caviar KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY SATA.

A few forums mentioned that the WD5000AAKS is a superior driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY , and while I can't speak to that, I can honestly say that the performance I've seen from this particular driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY has been spectacular. Oh and someone earlier said that this box doesn't come with the SATA cable needed to connect this drive to your computer.

He is infact half correct.

There is no SATA KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY to Molex adaptor included in the box. If you don't know what Molex is, it's the name for the connector that connects computerKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY hardware to the computers power supply. Recently, alot of power supplies have been shipping with SATA KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY power connectors built in (which was the case for me, I got lucky) but if you are using the power supply that came with your computer (from Dell, HP, Gateway etc) you may need to check and make sure you have a SATAKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY power connector on it before you attempt to buy this drive. Unlike alot of drives, this drive cannot be powered by a Molex connector. You may have to buy a Molex to SATA KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY adaptor if this is the case with your power supply.

There is however an included SATAKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY data cable, so you won't have to purchase an additional one to install this hard drive (which a few people did unfortunately).

There are many reasons to get the internal Western Digital WD5000KSRTL Caviar 500GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA SATA.

The first is that for economy you get more GBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA for your money. Drives half the cost of this model provide much less than 50% of the storage space. Some might say that the 500GB is experimental and to go with a solid 200MB drive, but the 500GBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA stability has shown failure rates no more or less than those models. To top it off WD have really taken the drive market by storm. I once owned an array of Seagates (and still do and am happy with my 200GB drivesKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA ). The Seagate Barracuda has always been a dependable favourite, but Western Digital Caviar SATA should be given a test driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA .

The whole point is that hardware compatibility standards have actually made that overnight leap. Many users will be looking to the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA about this time. In turn this means seeking out a motherboard like the Intel DP35DP or one designed for Core 2 Quad chipsKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA . When you engage these mobos you will be hit with new standards. These mobos force you to drop PS/2 connections (unless you get adapters) and the 3.5" Floppy is officially extinct with them. While they can handle IDE they are really built SATA drivesKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA . Cue the Western Digital WD5000KSRTL Caviar 500GB SATA. It is a monster driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA , 0.5TB in one. With two of these you automatically have 1TB. That is phenomenal. While 1TB WD SATA drives exist, the stable ones are the 5400 Rpm and the 7200 Rpm version is cutting edge and so at your own risk. I would get this 500GB model and make your next buy the 7200 Rpm version of the 1TB driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA , but do

This hard drive rocks! It replaced an old WD 120GBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY EIDE hard drive. I now have 2 HDs on my computer, a Seagate ST 250GBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY and my new one the Western Digital WD 500GB, both SATA. From switching the computer on, it used to take about 4 minutes for XP to come up and use the explorer with the WD120 and 3 minutes with the ST250. The WD500 KINGSTON FLASH MEMORYdoes it in under a minute! But it is not only the fast I/O. It also got a 16MBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY cache for lightning fast lookups. I thought that was going to be useless. I was wrong.
The cache totally blew me away. It is unbelievable how fast this hardKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY .

Jump Drive 94

Not only is this drive much faster than my old IDE driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY with 8M KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY cache, it is as quiet as can be. In fact, if I didn't see my screen updating, I'd think the driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY was dead it's so quiet! It's almost night and day the difference in noise!!!

Jump Drive 93

I purchased three of these for my Mac Pro Quad CoreKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY desk top which I purchased at Amazon. One 500GbKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is set up as stand-alone/backup hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY and Two 500Gb are set up as a RAID. They installed very quickly without any issues at all, are fast and work well with a Dual Processor Intel system, and are super quiet. I emphasize how quiet they are since I've had many Maxtor brand hard drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY which while are quite reliable as well, but, seem to vibrate annoyingly at a frequency that resonates through the PC case. These WDs are in fact much quieter considering that TWO of the 500 GBKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY SATAs plus another stand-alone 250 KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY (comes with the Mac Pro for OS/boot drive) and a 3rd 500 Gb WD SATA drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY of the same model (a total of four installed) are all installed and running so quietly. There's no noise or vibration to hint that 4 of these are inside the Mac Pro case. Read and Write performance on both the RAIDS and stand alones has been excellent. Highly recommended.

Jump Drive 92

I got this to store a bunch of training video ISO's and backups for all my home and work documents, and it works fine on a number of levels. First, transfer rates are as fast as any other USB drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY Yve used, many of which used external power.

That this drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY can match or exceed them with the convenience of running on USB power is worth the price alone. I run videos from it with no problems at all. In addition, on a lark, I decided to install some VM Workstation virtual machines on this drive to save space on my harddriveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . Granted, I am not doing crazy installs of millions of applications, but for lightweight testing and proof of concept setup, there is minimal loss in perceived performance.

All that combined with a nice, slim design and low price make it a great buy for me. One note with the included software - it installs a FreeAgent service that runs in Windows, which sometimes makes it difficult to remove the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY using the

"Safely Remove Hardware" function. Even if you stop the service, it still barks some errors at you when you unplug it. Could be a config issue that I just haven't figured out yet, but just something to make note of. Other than that, I love it. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

This thin little .5 Tb external HD KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is definitely the best one of these devicesKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY that I have played with to date. It appears to be somewhat better constructed than its competitors.

At least its outer housing is mostly metal, not plastic. It's thinner but has a little larger footprint than the other drives. I was told by the Seagate tech guys that this is simply a laptop hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY in a housing for external use, which I would assume is a cut above what's usually sold as this type device. I've personally autopsied, (after both's premature failures) a Western Digital and a SimpleTech external drive and was rather shocked at just how poorly constructed and sealed they seemed to be.

I haven't dissasembled this drive since it is still functioning perfectly, but it seems somewhat quiter and faster than the others. Of course, only time will really tell whether or not it really holds up to everyday use. So far, so good! KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

Jump Drive 86

I wasn't really interested in the encrypted feature of the driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY but ended up messing around with it for way too long anyways.

It's better to just use it like a giant thumb driveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY because the encryption process takes forever! Moving files should take minutes and not hours. If you encrypt the files it will take hours. No encryption=no time wasting. Otherwise .

Jump Drive 85

I only really use this for backing up my laptop, which is a must for college students. I back up my music, videos, class notes, etc completely every month and partial backups (just updates previous backup with anything new) every week. And that was with DVDs, KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA which was not that good of a solution since I had to use so many just to back up. With such a high storage capacity, I only really need one of these hard drivesKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA (for now). For being a USB hard drive it's pretty quick, and I can just back up in the background (I don't really use the softwareKINGSTON FLASH MEMORA that came with it, just use Windows Backup and Restore Center). It comes with a encryption program, but I don't really have a need for it, but I like having the option to. All in all, a great product for its ease of use and portability.

If irritates me to no end that the majority of the computerKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY world does not recognize Macintosh users nor make common Mac compatible accessories. At 320 GB, it has enough capacity to store what most people need to keep or carry around. It comes with pre-loaded software that allows you to set up automatic back-up, once a day or any day of the week.

It is decently fast at data transfer, and runs cool and quiet (it makes a very slight spinning sound at start-up, but you have to listen closely to hear it). KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

The entire device KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is very light and would fit in a large shirt pocket. It comes in a slim case with brushed aluminum plates on the top and bottom (the bottom surface is rubberized for non-skid). This gives it a sleek and elegant look, and I think nicer than some other brands that have a plastic case, not as sturdy and more prone to fingerprints. There is no protective sleeve included with this FreeAgent Go. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

You can get an optional docking station from Seagate that comes with a leatherette case. The FreeAgent Go package includes a USB cable (it uses one USB port on your PC). If you choose to use the dock instead, it requires two USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY ports, one for power and the other for data. A Y cable is provided). Highly recommended. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

Bought this Free Agent Go to replace a Western Digital My Book. Wanted to be able to take my files with me when I travel. I am surprised to say this is BY FAR the most quiet drive I have ever used. It spins silently and quicky. Works perfectly under OS X 10.5.6 and the free dock offer from Amazon made it a great deal. Can't recommend this drive enough! The built-in lighting on the drive is also very cool, it sort of pulses when it's accessing information. A single USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY cable powers it just fine on my new late-2008 Macbook 2.4GHz. Also worked perfectly through the USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY hub on my new 24" LED Cinema Display.

Amazing size, weight, and build quality as usual. I've been sticking with Seagatedrives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY for years now and they continue to impress. I wish the price was a little lower but for this size, a USB powered 500GB is worth it for anyone who travels a lot. I'll probably buy another. Perfect for backups as well as taking all your music and a whole lot of movies and TV rips.

True "plug and play". It just works. On XP, it works KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . On Vista, it works. On my Mac, it works. Love it.

Jump Drive 71

I bought this at Wal-Mart for about the same price. Its perfect.

There is nearly 300 GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY of useable free space. is about 1/8 of the size of the 80 GB drive it is replacing. Imagine about two credit cards from top to bottom and the thickness of an iPod classic.

I've got about 18,000 music and video files on it and about 17,000 other documents and it is maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . It is a great way to back up data and to work between different PCs and Macs.

I have used this for a week and I can already say that Seagate is a great brand for external hard drivesI have used this for a week and I can already say that Seagate is a great brand for external hard drives. I bought a Western Digital hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY about a year and a half ago, and I can already see the difference. Seagate does not freeze as much as the WD KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY did, and with the desktop interface option, it makes a great choice for anyone on the go.

I love the portability, but the only problem is that I have no idea where the ventilation area is located. When I use the hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY , I would like to know how to position it to prevent overheating. But as long as you make sure not to use it on cloth or other non-ventilated surfaces.

The price is good for the size, and I love the fact that it only runs on the usb power; no more clogged outlets! KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

Even though I have been using the hardriveKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY for only a couple of days so far I am convinced that it was a great purchase.

It comes in an extremely appealing shape - very slim, light and small, seems to be of very high quality and is fast enough for daily use. If you use a rather old computer with low USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY power supply the single USB cable might be too less to run the drive; consider buying a Y-cable or a new computer then. For everybody else it's the better solution because the drive occupies only one plug. The delivered cable is short, however, that means better portability.

The software is not powerful but still very useful. As long as you don't expect more than scheduled daily backups for specific files you should be fine. Mac users might go for the Apple version since it offers FW 400/800 and is a lot faster therefore. It's a bit thicker and heavier though... KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

I downloaded 1.06 GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA in 2 min 27.63 seconds (yes I used a stopwatch so I could post this review to help all of you reading this). There were multiple big files but also a lot of small files. There were a total of 107 files in that download. I was downloading from a network attached drive, which may have slowed it down a little, but I don't really know.

I tell you these things because I found it very difficult to get "real" numbers when I was trying to decide which hard drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA to buy. I cared mostly about write speed because for the most part I will only use it to back up my files. I took a chance with this drive based on opinions from people I talked to, and I am glad I did. It is very portable and very nice looking. I opened a file to test the read speed, and it seemed fine. I don't know how to time the read speed of a drive, sorry.

I did not test the software because I don't plan to use it. I've heard that the software makes it faster, but I can't use it because I am on a public computer. If you are looking for a hard drive case, I highly recommend this one! KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA

Most of laptop cooler/chill pads are made of PLASTIC and use fans that blow air TOWARDS the laptop. What impresses me about this product is that the cooling surface is made of ALUMINUM (just like the aluminum casing used to keep portable hard drives cool) and its fans PULL/SUCK HOT AIR AWAY KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY from underneath the laptop. This method of REMOVING hot air is superior to blowing room temperature air at the laptop (it's also the same mechanism used blaptop/desktop internal fans).

MY TESTS:
I compared the latest Targus high-speed KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY chill mat (Model PA248U) to this one. After running the laptop for one hour on each, I noticed the surface of the laptop (keyboard, palm rest, touch pad, etc.) was the same in both cases (very cool). But there was a noticeable difference on left side of my laptop (where my Dell's internal fan exhausts warm air). With the Targus, there was noticeable amounts of warm air being exhausted by the laptop's internal fan. With the Antec, there was much less warm air being exhausted than the Targus. So the Antec does a superior job cooling the laptop since the laptop's internal fan was exhausting less hot air.

MINOR DETAILS:
The Antec allows you to control the speed of the fan (high or low) while the Targus is fixed, presumably at high (and is rather noisy). The Targus does have a simple push on/off switch; the Antec does not (you have to unplug it for off). The Antec's USB cord KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is pass-through meaning Antec will NOT take us one USB slot (the Targus did not have this feature). The Antec has a very strong Blue LED light to indicate it is on (it could be helpful as an on/off indicator, but it is very annoying in low-light condition because it is very bright).

BOTTOM LINE:
Because the cooling surface is made of aluminum and because the fans work to draw hot air away from the laptop (much like your laptop's internal fan), Antec is a superior product. Also, my simple tests showed that the laptop was cooler using Antec.

D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Wireless Router

Im sitting on this thing right now. Man oh man...im getting a "very good" signal where my connection used to be dropping... KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

I used to have a few problems with WiFi. The first problem was obviously the range...as I said a few moments ago, the DIR-655 fixed that...I mean, even though it claims 6x range, but I was going to be happy with just a 25% improvement...I seriously think that this router increased my range 50-75%! KINGSTON FLASH MEMORAY

I used to always be frustrated with the lack of settings in many routers. Some would have QoS (Quality of Service...something that can prioritize important internet activity like Voice Over
IP...internet phone)but it didnt really work. Some would be lacking in semi-advanced routing features...others would barely have any non-novice features at all...This one has plenty of options for the advanced user to have a lot of fun screwing with settings. The most beautiful thing about it though, is that there is a wizard in the interface so that even the most novice of users can set up a great network with strong security. It also has context sensitive online help...what that is, is when you are trying to adjust settings and you dont know what something means, there is a little help button right there that you can click to get an explanation right then and there! Its kinda like the Yin-Yang of routers...

Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player

This is the product I've been waiting for. If you prefer watching video files on your big screen TV rather than your small computer monitor, but don't have time to burn them all to DVDs first, this is the device for you KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY.

It is very hard to argue with the amount of storage that one of these drives offer. If you have been in the industry for awhile, you can remember when a terabyte of data meant an entire data center of storage!
These drives are quite and they format to NTFS quickly as long as you remember to specify quick format!! I have been pleased enough with the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY that
I now own 6 of them. My laptop now has 6 terabyte of storage to work with! Since I do a lot of music and video work, that is important to me. Considering the fact that these drives now run about $229 when on sale, why would you not buy one?
Keep in mind that if you connect multiple drives, you will want to use different controlled ports on your computer; not just a USB hub (the reason is each dedicated port of a USB 2.0 can KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY only work at a total of 400 MB/S. That means if you have multiple drives on the same controlled port that they are sharing that speed (this will really show up if you are moving data from one drive to another on the same hub).
Remember, having 4 ports on your computer does not mean that they are 4 seperately controlled ports! Check your users manual or call technical support for your product to see how many seperately controlled ports you really have.
I have now moved all of my video, photos, and music to these drives (3 terabyte) and use the other three terabyte as mirrored drives (fail safe)and it is all easily accessable on my computer and on my network through my computer.
I have had the first drive for 5 months now and have added the others as they went on sale. I have not had any boot issues (mentioned in other reviews) and all of the lights go off when the computer is powered down. I am running Vista Ultimate with all updates and I am using an IBM ThinkPad with current BIOS.
Great drives!!! KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

This is a nicely made flash drive with plenty of room for lots of big files. And, it is a good value for the money KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY compared to other 16 GB flash drives. Also, I like the retractable USB connector - it slides in and out easily via a little tab on the side. And, once extracted, a little indent clicks in so that the connector will not be forced into the drive when the drive is inserted into a USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA port.

On the negative side, it doesn't have an LED indicating read/write access. This is a minor issue to me, but thought it deserved mention. Another con, however, might be a bit more of an issue for some people. This flash drive is a bit slow compared to two others I have. I ran some simple benchmarks, copying files to this drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY as well as two others: a 2 GB "no name" flash drive (drive "A" in the results below) I got for free at a computer store as a promo about a year ago, and a Lexar 256 MB drive (drive "B" below) that is a least two years old. I copied two sets of files as detailed below & timed the results with a stop watch. No other folders / files were on the drives when I copied the files. I conducted the tests twice on each drive - the times given are an average. (I did not conduct any read tests, just these write tests

File set "1": 2 folders, 1 containing 192 files / 20 MB, the other 72 files / 8.63 MB File set "2": 1 folder, containing 23 sub-folders w/ 495 files / 31.7 MB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY.

And, the test results: Drive "A" (No Name, 2 GB) File set "1": 18 sec. File set "2": 27 sec. Drive "B" (Lexar, 256 MB) File set "1": 26 sec. File set "2": 50 sec. This Kingston 16 GB drive File set "1": 30 sec. File set "2": 75 sec. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

As the results of this admittedly fairly unscientific test show, this drive was the slowest of the bunch - almost twice as slow as the 2 GB drive for file set "1", and over twice as slow as the 256 MB drive on file set"2". So, if speed is an issue for you, you may want to look elsewhere (and perhaps spend more money KINGSTON FLASH MEMORA as a result). But, since I needed space over speed, and I wanted to spend as little as possible, I still gave this flash drive 4 stars.

I bought two of these for my Apple MacBook Pro to maximize the memory KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY to 8GB. I have not encountered any issues at all. I bought OCZ stuff before and they are an excellent company who makes quality products. Their support is also top notch when I had a problem with one of their items they helped me out immediately.
This memory KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY module was inexpensive and performed very well. Money well spent! :)

I got this to upgrade to replace my new Asus EEE PC 1000h's 1gb chip. There is a very KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY noticeable improvement in the speed of a lot of operations including Firefox and MS Word. It doesn't seem to significantly affect the the battery life one way or another. This is my second OCZ memory KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY upgrade, the first one worked out great too. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

My first external hard drive was a WD500, but two months after the warranty expired, so did the hard drive. It is now in my trash bin. I talked over the possible reasons for its early demise and it came down to the drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is always on, which could easily burn it out. The Iomega has an on/off switch, so I only have to turn it on when it is time to back up the computer. I think this may be a much better design and will give it a longer life.

Jump Drive 56

I've got 21 iomega drives - I've been using them for years and I've never had a problem - though a contract employee of mine said one of his died. (He actually just shipped it to me and yep - it's dead.) I just bought my first 1TB drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY and I'm psyched. I'm using it to back up my old, lower-capacity drives. It seems as solid as the others. I'm going to fit all the video and projects on my first six drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY onto one drive now! It's smaller than any of the others, too - as far as external physical dimensions. They got the dimensions wrong on this site - it's 8 x 4.5 x 1.25. It's awesome. I'm a pro video producer and now thanks to these drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY (and a smokin' laptop) I'll be super-portable. I think I'll wind up with everything on 4 or 5 of these now. Killer product. I love these things.

I've had the Prestige for a little over 2 weeks now. It works great. -There's No annoying software (like my friend's WD Mybook) -Runs super quiet -I've had it on for hours at a time and it only gets a little warm -It's got a cool stand -It has a power switch.
I've been very impressed thus far and would highly recommend this hard drive. Only downside is its actually about 465 gigs, but most hard drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY are like that. The reason I say so far is externals seem to be prone to crashing if you read reviews. Hopefully it lasts forever though. Again, Sweet hard drive. Edit: I've had it for almost 4 months now and it is still excellent.

The product works (eventually) and is low priced and is tiny. But, before you install it, please consider the following. Customer care by Iogear is horrendous.
The first hurdle is bad instructions. Step 1 for Vista says you MUST insert the device. Then step 8 says DO NOT insert the device. 8 is correct, by the way. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY
Still, the included ver. 5 drivers do not work with Vista. When you contact the vendor for help, they'll tell you where the ver. 6 drivers reside. They're marked 221 thru 321 so you think they don't work with the 421, but they do. Oh, you need the revised instructions, too. By the way, the included disc says nothing about the software version. You have to watch for it after launching setup. KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY
So, get ver. 6 drivers or later, get the latest instructions, and don't plug in until the drivers are fully installed in Vista. I asked if the drivers were necessary since Vista wants to provide its own, and tech support said yes, you need to install them. I tried tech support's live chat. They pointed me to newer instructions that said to wait before connecting, but they said nothing about the ver. 5 drivers and Vista incompatibility. After KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY wasting 2 hours installing and uninstalling, I emailed to tech support. I wrote at midnight and when I got up bright and early, I had a URLKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY for the proper drivers and instructions. The final installation was flawless and the device works fine.

I don't have a MAC so I do not know if this is true or not (Sorry). The Cirago has a brighter blue light than the IOGear. Also, the IOGear is smallerKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY (But not by much). Both are so small in size they can be left in the USB slot and not removed. The IOGear is easier to remove from the slot than the Cirago (it is the shape of the exposed area that determines this). Here is one other interesting thought. Take a look at the picture of the IOGear. When plugged into the USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY the metal part slides all the way in so only the black plastic area is sticking out. That is nice, eh? The Cirago goes in the same but sticks out just a little more than the IOGear (Some metal exposed). However, both function perfectly with USB BT 2.0 and early versions 1.0 & 1.1! As others have mentioned, it's not fast. At worst it'sKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY been as low as 5mbps, but generally speaking I can fill it in 35-40 minutes, which isn't bad at all for a 32GB drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . If you just need small files fa st, you're better off with a high speed 2GB
KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY drive anyway, this is more for your weekly personal backup to put in the safe deposit box, or that sort of use. I would also like to point out for those noticing that it reads "30.1GB" KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY in Windows - we have reached a point where there is a noticeable difference between a gigabyte (what this has 32 of) and a gibibyte (what this has 30.1 of).KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY The terms have been confused because they were KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY used in two different standards, but your operating system reads data in binary groupings by JDEC standards, so KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY it's technically measuring inKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY kibibytes (1024 bytes), mebibytes (1024 kibibytes), and gibibytes (1024 mebibytes). Drives are sold in SI unit gigabytes (1000 megabytes) rounded down. If you multiply it out, a 32 gigabyte drive KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is 32,000,000,000 bytes, while your operating system calls it "32 GB" at 34,359,738,368 bytes. So no, you're not being cheated out of that last 1.9GB.

After having used some real slowpoke doozies in my Treos (namely Ritek, PNY, and "generic" cards of capacities between 1-4GB), I would rate these as good or better than SanDisk Ultra II's for quality and speed. The 1GB 120x Transcend KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY seemed almost as fast, but this Class 6 SDHC card is the fastest SD card I've ever owned. Saving 300k photos is almost instant and so is switching between apps and email stored on the card. Note, though, if using on the Palm OS - it will show only 4GB available; however, once you fill up the first 4GB, it will then show the actual remaining capacity. It does not affect the amount (7.5GB) of usable space, though. This is a quirk of the PalmOS rather than the card KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . Using an SD-to-USB adaptor, the capacity shows correctly. I can't wait to get my hands on the 16GB version from Transcend (and later the 32GB version) at a reasonable price (i.e., when they fall under $100).

Worked 1st time in Canon SD950 IS Powershot camera. Great capacity (9,999+ pictures at snapshot resolution--over 1,400 at highest resolution--at 12.1 mega pixels). However, had to verify (800 # telephone call to Canon) that the camera supported high capacity KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY cards, which was not readily apparent on the camera owner's manual. Very pleased with the performance.

I bought this card to use in my Nikon D-80 . This is one of the best SDHC cards when it comes to taking multiple 9 meg raw pics. I found the limits of many other recommended cards KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY but not this one.

I wanted to take advantage of the video capability on the Canon SD800IS digital camera and required a large memory card. Given the way memory requirements increase over time I opted for the largest available. I also wanted a fast memory write speed. The Transcend 8Gb SDHC Class 6 card was the best value available. So far this card KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY has worked flawlessly.

16 gigs, Class 6 speed, works great in my HD video camera. Also note SDHC doesn't work in my old regular SD card readers KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY. This comes with a nice little USB 2.0 card reader that will plug into any USB 2.0 hub so you can read the card almost anywhere. Nice.

Have used this card several times with the Canon HF100. So far so good. No issues. At first I wanted to go with a reliable name brand like the Sandisk Ultra II card or KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY but these were so expensive. After reading the reviews for this card used specifically with the HF100, I took the chance. Price helps you overcome a lot of qualms about things very quickly. The card is class 6 which has translated into fast speeds. I also bought an 8 GB Transcend card. Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and stick with the 16 GB cards KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY(for convenience). Like I mentioned before, no issues with reliability and stability so far. I'm pleased.

Great product so far. Took it out of the packaging and stuck it in my SD1000 and started snapping. Now at M3 (1600x1200), I get something like 20000 pictures on the card, although the counter will only go up to 9999. At the full 8mp L setting,3072x2304) it KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY stores ~5200 pics.

Bought one of these for my new Canon VIXIA HF100 AVCHD camcorder.. works like a charm with that unit. Just wish I could buy another one right now, as they're completely out of stock. Love having the USB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY reader as well, very handy!

I use SanDisk Extreme III (Lumix FZ50) in my professional work, and Ultra II (Lumix TZ5) in my snapshots and most vacations. At the time, the 8 GbKINGSTON FLASH MEMORY was excellent, and could hold more pix than I would ordinarily take. Wanted to try a 16 Gb, and couldn't find an Extreme, though it was listed, so when I saw the Transcend, thought I'd try it. A friend had the 4 and 8 Gb, and liked them. So I bought, and so far, though it doesn't officially have the weather capabilities of the Extreme, I can't tell the difference in speed of r/w, and find no difference in pic quality. For significantly less money, for non-wilderness/severe weather use, the Transcend appears to be every bit as fast and as good as the SanDisk. The card reader KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY it came with is not quite as nice as the SanDisk's, but so far (3 months of use) works just as well. The 16 has more capacity than I've been able to fill so far, but that just means I don't have to switch cards midstream, and can take marginal pix in addition to primaries, and edit what doesn't come out well. I will consider Transcend along with SanDisk in the future, and unless there is a clear technical advantage, will go with Transcend's lower price.

Have to give this one all five stars. I've been recording video with a Panasonic HDC-SD9 camcorder at the highest resolution 1920x1080 @ 60i, thats 60 interlaced frames per second, I really expected this flash card KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY to give me problems because of the low price, but to its credit I've been able to record approx. 2 hours of nonstop video with no hicups. Very solid product, I currently own two of them.

Transcend offers a great combination -- a 16 GB SDHC card and a truly compact card reader -- for an extremely competitive price. There are 16 gig SDHC cards on the market for more than three times the money KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY.
The reader also allows me to interchange the 16 gig card with a Transcend 8 gig SDHC card that I bought separately, which increases the versatility of both items.

Fast and stable. You may have to download KB934428 HotFix from Microsoft to make it work in your integrated card reader KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY. ( I can't provide the web link to the HotFix because Amazon filters web links, you can search for KB934428 at Google and get a direct link for download / you'll have to validate your copy of Windows before download) We don't use this card in a camera, we use it to back up or XP system partitions when using Ghost or Acronis and our throughputs have improved tremendously compared to imaging the %systemdrive% to even another internal SATA drive. The included adapter is a bonus and it has an orange status light to display read activity. Five Stars !

I found this thumb drive to be a very good one. It is 4GB, so it holds a large amount of data, and software. It is relatively tough, I have carried it in my backpack and have had NO problems with it. Also, I just bought a new laptop with Vista, and it works wonderfully! However, I also bought a Sandisk 4GB Titanium Drive and it was not compatible with my new laptop. Overall, I love this KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY

For the guy who posted above, there is no lanyard included with this flash drive.

I got this a couple days ago. Looking for something that could hold large files to let me switch from a laptop to desktop and back more easily (no more toting a whole external hard drive back and forth).

Other than cost (and this seems to be a good bargain), my other issue when looking at flash drives KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY is speed (also I didn't want any of that U3 crud). I transferred a 490 MB file to the flash drive in just about 3 minutes. That's more than fast enough for me.

The flash drive has turned out to be a silver lining too. After I found out I would not be able to install Linux on my desktop, I found that I can actually install various Linux distros to the flash drive and boot from it instead (search for pen drive linux), with plenty of space still to spare.

I originally had a 2 gig KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY . I e times on vacation, etc. when you're taking a lot of pics and video. This thing is truly amazing!!! I've been taking pictures like crazy (my family just groans each time I start snapping pictures). I have hardly scratched the surface in storage on this KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY .

Initially I was thinking of getting a Sandisk 4GB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY Stick PRO Duo for my PSP, for about $10 cheaper. But I had some negative experience with Sandisk flash memory cards before so I decided to get the real Sony one. I haven't had my Sony 4GB for long enough to know its long-term durability, but so far it's been totally worth the extra 10 bucks. It's fast and reliable, which gives me a peace of mind (worth more than $10, I hope). You get about 3700MB KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY of usable storage which is still plenty. This will hold my game saves and a couple movies plus my favorite episodes from The Simpsons as well as some MP3 files and photos for a while. I look forward to the day when Sony upgrades the PSP's firmware to allow the use of the upcoming 8GB (reportedly already available in Japan) and 16GB Memory Stick KINGSTON FLASH MEMORY PRO Duo cards.
